Original Hockey Stick Holder
Package Contents:
- 2 Brackets (wood piece is for display only and can be discarded)
- Instruction Card
- Mounting Template
- 2 Screws and 2 Anchors
Mounting Instructions and Tips:
If you're hanging a game-used goalie stick, you may need Goalie Spacers. Read here for more information.
- Lay template along stick shaft (#1 cross-hair on top handle side), slide template up and down handle to desired position.
It's a good idea to center the mounting brackets as much as possible on the stick shaft
- Be sure brackets will not be obstructed by things like tape on stick, etc.
Take some time and plan where the brackets will be holding on to the stick
- Be sure brackets will not obstruct autographs, etc.
- It’s ideal to use #2 cross-hair, but if necessary, use another mark provided.
- Be sure brackets fit on stick shaft at cross-hairs #1 & #2 (or desired mark).
Test fit brackets on stick at selected mounting points
- Brackets do not need to be overly tight to hold stick securely.
Brackets should fit snug, but do not need to be tight to hold the stick at any angle
- Find the location (on wall, ceiling, etc.) to hang your hockey stick.
Hold the hockey stick up to the wall. Check out different angles. Try different looks before drilling holes.
- Position template on wall, allowing space off ends of template for the handle and blade.
Be sure there is adequate space off each bracket for the extra portion of the stick
- Mark on wall at #1 cross-hair and #2 cross-hair (or desired mark).
You can use a pencil or pen, and just push through the template at the appropriate cross-hair, leaving marks on the wall
- Drill 3/16 inch holes for anchors on both marks, insert anchors.
You do not need the anchors if you are mounting into studs. The provided screws will work in stud-mount applications.
- On bracket, lift up felt flap, insert screw through felt side first.
- Place bracket over anchor (metal side of bracket towards wall) and screw into anchor.
- Cover screw head with felt flap.
This little felt flap protects your hockey stick by covering all hard, metal surfaces
- Gently twist brackets if needed to align with stick.
That's it! You're done! Sit back, admire it. Tell your friends, send us pictures. Thanks for using Breakaway Displays™!
